Counseling Center Services Fall 2020

The Counseling Center is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are offering a variety of services for students, faculty and staff for Fall Semester 2020. Counseling Center Services
  • Welltrack: This is a free, on-line, self-help therapy tool which you can find on the Counseling Center website. It will help with stress, anxiety and depression and has a brief assessment, mood tracker and modules to build skills. You will need to use your Ball State University email to register.
  • Outreach Workshops: We have outreach programs on a variety of topics such as mindfulness, building positive emotions, healthy coping and managing anxiety and depression. Just go the Counseling Center website, under Outreach. There are worksheets that go along with some of these programs so you can actively participate during the presentations. We are also offering live outreach programs on building resiliency, mindfulness, owning your ups and downs and health communication.
  • Groups: We offer groups on a variety of topics such as: relationship problems, stress, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Please call the Counseling Center for more information.
  • Let’s talk: These are brief, one-time appointments with a therapist to help with problem-solving and making referrals. These are NOT therapy appointments.
  • Counseling Center Website: We have self-help resources, career exploration and assessments and videos on our website which offer excellent supports for increasing coping and resilience skills.
  • Facebook, Twitter, Instagram: We post daily on these social media platforms so please follow us! You will find mental health life hacks, links to resources and motivational and inspirational quotes.
  • Telehealth Individual Counseling Appointments: To schedule a telehealth individual counseling appointment, call the Counseling Center. These appointments utilize WebEx and have the same parameters of confidentially as in-person appointments. Please note that you must be in the state of Indiana for these appointments as state law prohibits our therapists from providing therapy to students outside the state of Indiana due to licensing laws.
