Title: Cybersecurity Practices at Ball State University
Presented by: Tobiah Coffman, Executive Director of Information Security and CISO
Abstract: This talk will discuss the ins and outs of the information security program at BSU. This includes covering the types of tools and processes that BSU uses to keep the University safe from bad actors who want to steal data, compromise systems, or try to lock down systems to try to extort a payout. Real examples of the types of attacks we see on a daily basis, along with examples of the technology, processes, and procedures that are used to combat those, will be demonstrated. This talk will provide the audience with a good overview of the type of work an aspiring information security professional would encounter on a daily basis in their position.
