A Naval Base in Indiana?: An Overview of Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane

Abstract: Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane is the third largest naval base in the world and is located in the forests of southern Indiana. This talk will introduce NSWC Crane's mission, its focus areas, and what federal employment opportunities look like in 2026, with a focus on computer science.
Bio: Anna Claxton graduated from Ball State University in 2019 with majors in mathematical sciences and computer science and a minor in history. She was in the Honors College as a Whitinger Scholar and a four-year member of the Pride of Mid America. She now serves on the Ball State University Department of Computer Science Industry Advisory Board.
