Communication + Culture in Ecuador Summer 2022

What: a five-week study abroad program, led by BSU instructors Ashley Coker and Michael Storr (Communication Studies)

Where: Cuenca, Ecuador PLUS excursions to Quito, Tena, Baños, Alausi, and Otavalo

When: May 11 to June 19, 2022

How much: $2864 + airfare and tuition -- this includes accommodations, ground transportation, excursions, Spanish lessons, and all breakfasts (also, the most affordable five week study abroad program BSU has to offer!)

Classes: the program offers four courses (you'll choose two)-- COMM210 (Fundamentals of Public Communication), COMM290 (Intercultural Communication), COMM299X (Oral Interpretation and Storytelling), and COMM333 (Rhetoric of Tourism and Travel). Keep in mind that 210 is a UCC required course for all BSU students and 290 is a tier-1 social sciences option in the core. All courses will meet daily (no class on weekend or excursion days).

Who: you?? open to all undergraduates (minimum GPA 2.0).
