November 6–8, 2026 | Center for Innovation and Collaboration & Online
Interested in video games, creativity, or sustainability? Join us for the Hoosier Conservation Jam, a weekend of collaboration and game creation exploring conservation and environmental challenges in Indiana.
Presented by the Indy Indies Alliance, Ball State's Department of Computer Science, and the Center for Innovation and Collaboration, this event brings together students, game developers, and creative thinkers to explore innovative game concepts and alternative controllers.
No game development experience is necessary! Whether you're interested in programming, storytelling, design, or simply trying something new, there's a place for you. Participants will work in teams, learn new skills, and bring creative ideas to life.
Event Schedule:
- Friday, November 6: Kickoff and brainstorming at 6 p.m. at the Center for Innovation and Collaboration.
- Saturday, November 7: In-person activities at the Center for Innovation and Collaboration beginning at 9 a.m., with online participation available.
- Sunday, November 8: Virtual game development and project showcase.
Ball State students who participate may also have an opportunity for paid work continuing development of a game after the jam.
All experience levels are welcome!
