The Multicultural Center now offers staff-led presentations and available upon request for academic departments, student organizations, and campus units. These interactive sessions are designed to support meaningful communication, understanding across differences, and stronger community connections.
Our sessions include:
- Navigating Differences: This workshop offers tools to communicate across perspectives, beliefs, and experiences with empathy and respect. Students will build skills to remain active as participants when conversations get uncomfortable.
- Reacting vs Responding: Students will learn the difference between reacting impulsively and responding thoughtfully to disagreements. They will understand that respect improves communication and decision-making.
- Intent vs Impact: Students will dive into why good intentions are not always enough. This session explores how our words and actions can affect others and how to take accountability with care.
- Bridging the Gap: Students will discover how to build relationships across differences. This workshop invites participants to move past assumptions and foster authentic connections.
