Beginning this week, select Ball State students will receive an invitation to participate in the Multi-Institutional Study of Leadership (MSL), a national survey used by universities to better understand student experiences, leadership development, and campus engagement.
If you are selected, your voice is especially important. The survey is sent to a specific group of students, and your responses help shape programs, opportunities, and student support at Ball State.
You will receive an email from: msl@expandingleadership.org
The first message will be a pre-invitation, followed by the official survey invitation later in the week.
The survey takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete. Your responses are confidential, and Ball State receives only de-identified, aggregate results.
Why participate?
- Help improve student experiences at Ball State
- Inform leadership programs, student life, and campus initiatives
- Ensure your perspective is represented
Faculty and staff: Please encourage students to watch for the MSL email and take a few minutes to complete the survey. A brief reminder in class or through Canvas can make a meaningful difference in participation.
Questions: For questions about the survey process, Ball State’s participation and how results will be used, please contact: Dr. David Roof (djroof@bsu.edu)
