The Archives and Special Collections invites you to celebrate the installation of its newest exhibit documenting the life and career of Steve Bell, entitled “From the Newsroom to the Classroom: The Life and Lessons of Professor Steve Bell”. The ceremony will be held on Friday, November 14th, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Archives and Special Collections in Bracken Library Room 210. The ceremony will feature a speech by Samantha Politinsky, the granddaughter of Steve Bell. Light refreshments will be served.
The exhibit highlights Bell’s illustrious career as a reporter, his tenure as a Professor of Telecommunications, and his personal life in Muncie. It features Items documenting Bell’s coverage of many national and international events such as the Vietnam War, the Watergate scandal, and the assassinations of both President John F. Kennedy and Senator Robert Kennedy.
