Career Conversations Series: Faculty Spotlight and Employer Insight.

Faculty are invited to join the Ball State Career Center for the April Career Conversations Series: Faculty Spotlight and Employer Insight. Hear directly from faculty members who have incorporated career programming into their curriculum as well as from employer panelists who will share their perspectives on important career development topics for students. 
 
April 2nd, 12 pm-1:30 pm Virtual Interviewing  

Jeffrey Greer from the Miller College of Business will share his experience engaging with the Career Center’s Practice Interview Program followed by a panel of local employers on virtual interviewing.

 April 9th, 12 pm-1:30 pm Transferable Skills

Kate Elliott from the College of Communication, Information, and Media will share her experience engaging with the Career Center’s Skills Infusion program followed by a panel of employers discussing how transferable skills can be marketed in the job search.

April 16th, 12 pm-1:30 pm Virtual Internships 

Tonya Skalon from the College of Health will share how she created an internship alternative for students using the Career Center’s Career Ready program when internships were unexpectedly canceled due to the pandemic. This will be followed by a panel of employers, including Heartland Film and the Indianapolis Children's Museum, on virtual internships.

April 23rd, 12 pm-1:30 pm Career Exploration 

Ashley Calderon and Joel Whitesel will discuss how they embedded the Career Center’s KEY Careers program into their SOAR 100 course for the Miller College of Business. This will be followed by a panel of employers discussing career exploration topics such as mentoring and informational interviews.
