Ball State faculty are invited to participate in the C4G / Third Way Civics Summer Faculty Workshop, hosted by the Center for Economic and Civic Learning, May 6–8 in Teachers College, Room 1008.
This interactive practice-focused workshop brings together faculty across disciplines to explore a nationally recognized, nonpartisan approach to teaching that strengthens civic inquiry, dialogue across difference, and student agency. You will not just learn about the model, you will experience it.
Faculty participants will receive a $400 stipend for participation, along with all meals during the workshop.
You will:
- Experience the Third Way Civics model through structured, high-engagement discussions
- Develop or adapt course materials using primary sources and student-centered pedagogy
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines in a focused faculty learning environment
- Leave with practical strategies to strengthen student thinking, dialogue, and engagement
