Cynthia Noemi Cardona, serves as president of the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation, a private, tax-exempt organization supported by Eli Lilly and Company. She also serves as vice president at Lilly, where she is the head of social impact for the global pharmaceutical company.

In her leadership roles, Cardona guides Lilly’s philanthropic and social impact strategies—advancing initiatives that promote global health, STEM education, and economic mobility. She oversees a team dedicated to expanding access to healthcare and supporting community-based solutions that enable individuals and families to thrive.

Cardona brings a global and interdisciplinary perspective to her work. She began her career in the nonprofit sector, helping communities improve disaster preparedness and risk management. After earning an MBA from Stanford University, she joined Eli Lilly, where she has held leadership roles in marketing and corporate affairs, including serving as Chief Marketing Officer of Lilly Japan.

She holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Civil and Structural Engineering from Stanford University.
