Become an Ally/Advocate for the LGBTQIA+ Community

Become an ally and advocate for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning population at Ball State University and beyond by attending the Safe Zone and Trans* Safe Zone Trainings. Trainings are 4 hours long. Trainings are open to Ball State students, faculty, staff, and if the space allows, to interested members of the wider community. 

We are pleased to announce our training dates for the Spring Semester:

Safe Zone Training Dates
Saturday, January 28th, 9:00am-1:00pm, (VIRTUAL)
Saturday, February 18th, 9:00am-1:00pm, (VIRTUAL)
Wednesday, March 1st, 2:00pm-6:00pm, (IN-PERSON, Location TBD)
Thursday, March 23rd, 8:15am-12:15pm, (IN-PERSON, Location TBD)

Trans* Safe Zone Training Dates
Saturday, February 4th, 9:00am-1:00pm, (VIRTUAL)
Saturday, March 18th, 9:00am-1:00pm, (VIRTUAL)
Wednesday, April 5th, 1:30pm-5:30pm, (IN-PERSON, Location TBD)
Thursday, April 20th, 8:30am-12:30pm, (IN-PERSON, Location TBD)

Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a Safe Zone or Trans* Safe Zone sticker, as well as other materials.
