Beam-Signing Ceremony for Center for Innovation and Collaboration Set for May 1

April 24, 2025

All are invited to a beam-signing ceremony for the Center for Innovation and Collaboration from 4–6 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at the corner of Ashland and Martin Avenues. The event will include remarks from Ball State President Geoffrey S. Mearns, Provost Dr. Anand Marri, and Dr. Jennifer Palilonis, the Center’s interim director, as well as an opportunity for attendees to sign a commemorative beam.

Part of the University’s Village revitalization plan, the 31,400-square-foot Center for Innovation and Collaboration will open in Fall 2026 and serve as a space where Ball State faculty, staff, and students engage with community and corporate partners to solve real-world problems. The Center will feature a prototyping studio, immersive technology labs, meeting and co-working spaces, and dedicated offices for community partners including the Muncie-Delaware County Black Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Development Center of East Central Indiana.

Parking is available in the McKinley Avenue Parking Garage. Please note: Due to construction, vehicles should access West Ashland Avenue from North Dill Street or North Dicks Street.

Kindly RSVP to the Office of the President by Monday, April 28, at rsvp@bsu.edu, or 765-285-5555.
