We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. April Hay as Ball State University's new university registrar, effective Monday, Feb. 5. Dr. Hay brings more than 20 years of experience in the registrar profession with a proven track record of success in leading and managing academic records, registration, the course catalog, and more.
A seasoned professional with a wealth of knowledge and insight, Dr. Hay comes to Ball State from Indiana State University, where she served as registrar for the past 13 years. Prior to that, she held various roles within the Registrar's Office, including associate registrar and assistant dean. Throughout her career, Dr. Hay has cultivated strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff, demonstrating a deep commitment to student success and institutional excellence.
"I am incredibly excited to join Ball State University and contribute to its vibrant learning community," Dr. Hay said. "I am passionate about ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our students, and I look forward to collaborating with the Enrollment Planning and Management team to develop innovative solutions and advance the University's strategic goals."
Dr. Hay's is actively involved in professional organizations such as the Indiana Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (IACRAO). This involvement allows her to stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in the field, ensuring that Ball State's Registrar's Office remains at the forefront of innovation and efficiency.
Dr. Hay will report directly to the vice president for enrollment planning and management, playing a key role in developing and implementing student success strategies that retain a diverse and qualified student body. We are confident that her leadership and expertise will be instrumental in advancing Ball State's commitment to providing an exceptional education for all students.
