Ball State’s Foundational Sciences Building Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on October 1 at 4 p.m.

Please join President Geoffrey S. Mearns and College of Sciences and Humanities Dean Dr. Maureen McCarthy for the Foundational Sciences Building Ribbon-Cutting on Friday, October 1 at 4 p.m.

The ceremony will be located outside the main entrance to the building. Reception and tours will immediately follow the ceremony.

Foundational Sciences Building

Located in the new East Quad of campus, the new Foundational Sciences Building will provide services to our biology and chemistry departments. The five-story, 213,000-square-foot facility includes:

·      72 state-of-the-art laboratories

·      A cutting-edge aquatics suite

·      Collaborative spaces and lounges

·      A research library and computer labs

·      Administrative offices

·      Gender neutral restrooms

·      An imaging and microscopy suite

·      Flexible classroom designs

Science is on display with a variety of large interior glass windows to view into class and modern research labs. The building’s large north-facing curtain wall of windows allows for expansive views of the new East Quad and an outdoor learning environment.
