Ball State Jazz Welcomes Guest Artist Sharel Cassity

Join Ball State Jazz on Wednesday, September 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Sursa Performance Hall for an evening of live jazz featuring acclaimed saxophonist, flutist, and educator Sharel Cassity.

A prominent voice on the New York and Chicago jazz scenes, Cassity was voted the 2023 Rising Star Alto Saxophone and is a member of the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame and a recipient of the ASCAP Young Jazz Composers Award.

Cassity will perform alongside the Ball State Jazz Ensembles, under the direction of Mark Buselli.

  • General Public: $10 advance / $12 at the door
  • Seniors and BSU Faculty/Staff: $8 advance / $10 at the door
  • Students: FREE in advance / $5 at the door*
Tickets are available through the College of Fine Arts Box Office, online, by calling 765-285-8749, or in person Monday–Friday from noon–5 p.m.

One free student ticket per ID is available in advance through the College of Fine Arts Box Office before 5 p.m. on the night of the concert.
