Ball State First Day - Barnes and Noble Event on April 30 and May 1

April 25, 2025

We are excited to introduce Ball State First Day, a new textbook affordability program in partnership with Barnes & Noble. Beginning Fall 2025, students will receive required course materials—selected by faculty—at a reduced cost. These materials will be conveniently billed with tuition and fees, and available for pickup or delivery by the first day of class.

  • Who does this apply to? Undergraduate and Graduate Students / All Courses
  • How do students sign up? Students will be automatically enrolled each semester upon registration.
  • What changes in the faculty ordering process? Nothing! The faculty ordering process will continue through the Adoption & Insights Portal (AIP) and faculty will retain full academic freedom in selecting course materials.

Where can I learn more?
Barnes and Noble will be hosting a Ball State First Day event on campus where you can stop by, learn more about the program, and ask questions to our Barnes and Noble partners. These sessions will be in person in the Student Center in SC 301-302.

Wednesday, April 30, 2-4 p.m.
Thursday, May 1, 9-11 a.m.
