IPR will hold auditions for our annual holiday radio drama, "A Chris-Mystery" from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7 and Wednesday, Nov. 9 at the IPR/Ball State Public Media offices in the David Letterman Communication and Media Building, Room 128.

No appointment is required. Anyone who has ever wanted to be a part of an authentic radio drama can audition!

An authentic radio drama featuring local actors, a live orchestra, and live sound effects, "A Chris-Mystery" is written by local radio drama veteran Michael Kleeberg and produced by Jennifer Blackmer, with direction from David Little and musical direction by Michael Elliott.

"A Chris-Mystery" tells the story of smitten suitor Dashiell Hammer who had planned to propose to Daphne Du Lessier at her parents’ lavish Christmas Eve party. Hammer has left the ring in the care of Mrs. Du Lessier, who keeps it under lock and key. But the ring disappears! Private eye Phil Barlow and his unorthodox partner, Bogie, hasten to the luxurious Du Lessier apartment on Park Avenue, determined to solve the theft.

This production will be presented at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, in Sursa Performance Hall.
