Proceeds from the event will support the programs supported by NAMI to educate people and reduce stigma about mental health. Programs include support groups, providing training for law enforcement personnel through Crisis Intervention Team training, and suicide prevention education services among others. To view the pieces, go to https://www.namidelawarecounty.org/ .
Dr. Zimmerman was a member of the Ball State University faculty, where he worked for over forty years in the Counseling Center. He served on the board of directors for NAMI for many years, and was active in other community organizations, including the Whitely Community Council. Besides being a community activist, Dr. Zimmerman was an accomplished artist and poet. We look forward to seeing you at Happy Toad Greenhouse this Saturday.
