The Brown Planetarium is open for free public programs on the following weekends in April. Take a break with a guided meditation experience, explore solar superstorms, or embark on a space adventure with the Magic Tree House program for kids!

Sunset Meditation
Fridays: April 11, 25 at 5:00pm 
Saturdays: April 12, 26 at 5:00pm
Enjoy a guided meditation experience with views of an amazing sunset as you travel to the North Pole to relax under a night sky filled with stars and glimpses of the Northern Lights. Perfect for adults and ages 12+, all ages are welcome.

Solar Superstorms
Fridays: April 11, 25 at 6:30pm 
Saturdays: April 12, 26 at 6:30pm
Learn about the Sun’s powerful magnetic fields and superhot plasma that vent in dramatic flares, violent solar tornadoes, and the largest eruptions in the solar system: Coronal Mass Ejections. Perfect for adults and ages 10+, all ages are welcome.

Magic Tree House: Space Mission
Saturdays: April 12, 26 at 3:30pm
Travel with Jack and Annie, stars of the Magic Tree House® best-selling children’s book series, as they search for answers to a mysterious riddle as they meet a helpful astronomer and an astronaut. Perfect for families and groups with K through 3rd grade learners, all ages are welcome.

Program Information
•The planetarium is located on the west end of the Cooper Science Building, at 2111 W. Riverside Ave., Muncie.
•General public planetarium shows are free of charge and no reservations or tickets or required except for our annual "Astronomy SLAM!". We appreciate your support to make this possible. Cash donations are accepted at the door.
•Programs start promptly at the advertised time. Doors close once full or 15 minutes after showtime, and no entry is permitted after that time.
•Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. We recommend arriving early as seating is done on a first-come, first-served basis and seating is limited. We offer hands-on activities before most shows.
•Programs run approximately 50 minutes long, and include a live sky tour.
•No food, drinks, gum, or candy are allowed in the planetarium.
•Cellphones and any electronics that emit light must be put away at the start of all programs. Please refrain from wearing light-up shoes to planetarium programs.
•Anyone 17 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.
•The planetarium and Ball State campus are tobacco-free spaces.
