April 15th: LAST DAY to File FAFSA to Meet Indiana Priority Filing Deadline!

April 09, 2026

Have you filed your 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) yet? If not, time is running out!

Submit your 2026-27 FAFSA at studentaid.gov as soon as possible. To meet the Indiana priority filing deadline, submit your application by no later than 11:59 PM on Wednesday, April 15th. You can file after this date, but you may miss out on some aid opportunities.

You must file a new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year that you will be in school to receive financial aid. Filing on time ensures that you are considered for the maximum financial aid possible.

To get started, login using your FSA ID at studentaid.gov.

Once you file, keep an eye out for notifications from Ball State and the Indiana Commission for Higher Education regarding your financial aid, and respond immediately to any requests for additional information. Check your Self-Service Banner regularly for updates.

If you have questions about the FAFSA or financial aid, contact Cardinal Central by email at cardinalcentral@bsu.edu, by phone at (765) 285-2222, or by scheduling a virtual appointment on our website. Visit bsu.edu/FAFSA for more information.
