The Center for Economic and Civic Learning at Ball State invites motivated students to apply to become a 2024/2025 Ball State Democracy Fellow.
What is a Democracy Fellow? The Democracy Fellows program offers students a unique opportunity to promote voting, democratic values, and civic responsibility across the Ball State campus. As part of Ball State's Cardinals Vote! program and involvement in the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, Democracy Fellows contribute to our university’s role of providing nonpartisan voter information on campus and promoting student democratic engagement. Democracy Fellows provide brief (5-10 minutes) of voter information in classes and at campus events. We provide training, information, promotional materials, and support.
This program will offer you a chance to: Engage in voter information events and promote engaged citizenship on the Ball State campus. Develop leadership skills, build meaningful connections, and engage with our community.
Who Should Apply? We encourage students from all academic backgrounds and levels of experience to apply. Whether you're majoring in political science or just passionate about democracy, your perspective is valuable. What matters most is your enthusiasm to support nonpartisan voting initiatives on our campus.
