NTL Faculty—get paid to learn about career development, planning and resources this summer!

April 16, 2024

The Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs is happy to announce The Non-Tenure Line Faculty Academy (NTL-FA) for Summer 2024, which aims to develop collegial relationships with other non-tenure line (NTL) faculty across campus and support NTL faculty in crafting plans to meet their professional goals. NTL-FA will utilize reciprocal mentoring, mutual exchange of ideas, and joint engagement in practice.

Participants will attend in-person sessions during Summer Session I.  Faculty will be invited to join an NTL-FA Canvas community. Participants in the NTL-FA who attend all sessions will be compensated a $500 stipend or $750 RIA submission upon completion of the program’s goals:

  • Acquire a functional understanding of BSU’s resources, policies, and practices
  • Develop strategies to build and maintain a faculty community across campus
  • Reflect on their identity as teacher/scholars to develop fulfilling careers with attendance to document teaching, research, and/or service plans and achievements; consider promotion opportunities
  • Establish a plan for work-life balance/well-being
  • Learn about community organizations and campus initiatives and consider their future role in the BSU/Muncie communities

More information including the schedule and the application can be found here. All additional questions may be directed to Kristen McCauliff. Applications are due by April 29th.
