Ball State faculty are invited to apply for the 2026–27 C4G Faculty Learning Community and Faculty Fellows program.
C4G -
Cultivating Civic Character for the Common Good - supports faculty in identifying the civic, moral, and intellectual dimensions already present in their disciplines and making those connections more intentional and explicit in an existing course, assignment, module, or other student learning experience.
Ten faculty members will be selected. All selected faculty will receive a $1,500 faculty-development stipend upon completing the program requirements. Two participants will be selected as Faculty Fellows and will also receive a course release for undertaking a more substantial role and contribute to the leadership of the Faculty Learning Community.
Applicants may apply for the Faculty Learning Community, a Faculty Fellow position, or consideration for either opportunity. Applicants will be selected for only one role.
The program will run from October 2026 through May 2027 and include approximately one 60-minute meeting per month, brief readings and discussions, collaborative planning, and implementation of a character-focused teaching or curriculum project.
Applications are due Friday, September 18, 2026.
