We are pleased to announce the return of the Faculty Breakfast Club at the Writing Center! Sign-up is open, so join us and make a commitment to your writing this semester.
Faculty Breakfast Club (FBC)* is a group that commits to writing together each Friday morning (between 8-11 am) for the entire semester. It is NOT a writing discussion group: there is no talking or sharing drafts. It is just a group that comes together at a common writing time.
Faculty who participate report they like being in the presence of others who are working on their writing goals and like having a day and time to put writing on their calendars. Many participants have said FBC has helped their productivity and their completion of writing projects. Plus, the Office of Research/Sponsored Projects awards a $200 RIA stipend to all participants who log at least two hours a week for the semester!
The group is limited to 15 participants and will begin on Friday, Jan 21. If you would like to join for the Spring 2022 semester, complete this form (https://forms.gle/1Zh1VRwDoJbvPLGb8) and we will confirm your spot by email.
[*Faculty Breakfast Club is named after the movie as a clever(?) way to suggest this is writing detention for faculty; there’s no breakfast served, alas. But you’re welcome to bring your own coffee and/or angst.]
