Caitlin Clark and David Letterman are coming to Emens Auditorium on Monday, December 2! We can’t wait to see you there, but there are a few important things you should know before you arrive.
Lobby doors will open at 5:00 p.m. and seating will begin at 5:30 p.m. ALL guests should arrive at Emens by 6:00 p.m. and must be seated no later than 6:30 p.m. The conversation will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
Cell phones are not permitted in the venue, so please expect long lines upon entering Emens Auditorium as patrons will be required to check phones. Please plan your arrival time accordingly.
Standby Line: Individuals without a ticket can join an indoor standby line beginning at 5:00 p.m., inside the lobby of the Arts and Communications (AC) Building, located immediately adjacent to Emens Auditorium. There will be signs for directions to the line. Unfilled seats will be given to standby guests starting at 6:40 p.m.
Student Tickets: Students must present their ticket and a valid Ball State student photo ID for entry. Student tickets are not interchangeable with other ticket types.
Phone Free Event Experience: Yondr Fan Advisory
This event will be a phone-free experience. Use of cellphones, cameras, or any other recording devices will not be permitted in the event space. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones will be secured in Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests maintain possession of their belongings at all times and can access their phones throughout the event at designated Phone Use Areas located inside the lobby. All phones will be re-secured in Yondr pouches before returning to the auditorium. Anyone seen using a non-permitted device during the performance will be escorted out of the venue.
Bag Policy
In accordance with safety and security guidelines, large bags, backpacks and purses will not be permitted. Wallet-size clutches no larger than 5” x 7”, medical bags or parenting/diaper bags no larger than 14”x14”x6” are permitted. Guests who require entry with a purse/bag should plan to arrive early to allow time to go through the additional security screening.
Filming Disclaimer
Ticket holder (“Holder”) consents to be photographed, filmed, videotaped, or otherwise recorded in connection with the event (“Event”). Holder grants to the Event sponsor (and its assignees) permission to utilize Holder’s name, image, voice, actions, statements, and likeness (collectively, “Personage”) in any form, format, media, display, or other use made of, or at, the event in any medium, whether known or hereinafter created, or context for any purpose, including commercial, without further authorization from or compensation to Holder. Holder acknowledges they have no privacy expectation in connection with attendance at the Event. Holder covenants not to sue any of releases for use of Personage as provided herein.
Parking
Parking is free of charge at the McKinley Avenue, New York Avenue, and Student Center parking garages. For other Emens Auditorium FAQs, visit the venue’s website.
A drop-off circle located southwest of Emens Auditorium can be used by patrons unable to walk from the parking garages. Exclusive shuttle service between the parking garages and the venue will not be provided. Ball State’s campus shuttle buses will operate as usual.
ADA Accessible Parking
Free accessible parking for those guests with proper permits will be reserved to the east of the Health Professions Building, located at the corner of Riverside Avenue and Dicks Street. This lot will be available beginning at 5:00 p.m. the day of the event.
A Courtesy Cart will take patrons from the accessible parking lot to the front entrance of Emens Auditorium.
Shuttle Service
Shuttle Bus service is available around campus at no cost with no ID required.
Three shuttle routes—red, green, and purple—stop at the back side of the New York, Student Center, and McKinley Parking Garages. Campus buses will also drop off and pick up patrons in the Emens drop-off circle before and after the show. Look for the red shuttle stop signs!
