Looking to make connections with other student musicians and vocalists at Ball State?

Us too.

Hey, we’re the Association of Collegiate A Cappella (ACA), Ball State’s student-run a cappella organization. We’re a diverse group of student musicians united by a love for a cappella music. We’re excited to start off another year, and we’re looking for student musicians who are passionate about singing to join us.

Fit the profile? Here’s how you can join:

1. Create a 30-45 second clip that showcases your range and vocal ability.
2. Upload the video to your Box account.
3. Share it with our organization email, Association of Collegiate A Cappella, by Friday, September 4.

Not sure how to upload your video? No worries. Check out our Instagram page (@acabsu) for more details or reach out to us via email.

Did you miss our callout meeting on Wednesday? Head to our Instagram page to catch virtual introductions from each of our groups and learn more about our organization.

As a member of ACA, you’ll get to connect with other student vocalists and perform together across all types of stages. While we’re involved locally at Ball State and in the Muncie community, all of our groups compete in the International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella (or as we call it, ICCA’s). In 2019, our co-ed group, Sedoctave, won the ICCA Midwest Quarterfinal and Semifinal competitions and advanced to the finals competition in New York. You could say we were proud, but that’s probably an understatement. We even worked together that same year to release an EP that’s available on Spotify and Apple Music. (Yes, that is a shameless plug).

We’re ready to usher in another great year of music-making: are you?

We hope to see you #rushACA!

Sincerely,

Ben Heber
