By filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by or before April 15th each year, you can be considered for the maximum financial aid package available and prepare for your future educational finances. If you miss the deadline, you may receive smaller packages as some financial aid is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
By preparing earlier, it gives you more time to gather the resources needed to file the application, as it can take time to complete. The components needed to file can be found here. Use Ball State’s FAFSA school code, 001786, to share your application and be considered for financial aid. Ball State offers many grants, scholarships, and work-study through student employment programs that require a FAFSA on file to receive. When you're ready, visit studentaid.gov to begin your application!
